Used cars

You still remember those first driving lessons. The jerky starts and stops. The tight grip that you had on the door handle. The pressure under your foot while you hoped beyond hope that you could will the your daughter in the driver’s seat to slow down. Those memories are both fun and funny once they are over, but when you are in the middle of them they are simply stressful!
Now that you are long beyond those days of having to teach your two daughters how to drive, you are now looking for a way to make sure that you have enough cars for all four of you. Finding the best car for your youngest driver is a combination of looking for used cars or making the decision to buy or lease a new car. The advantage to buying used vehicles is, of course, the price. The fact that used cars come with a history of another driver, though, means that you could be dealing with expensive problems later on.
Finding the Right Car for a New Driver Is Often a Challenge
From visiting auto dealerships to look at cars for sale to understanding the different financing options, it is important to make sure that you understand all of the available options. And while one Ford dealership might specialize in used vehicles another dealer might only offer new cars. Finding the right car dealership, in fact, is the first step you need to make when it comes to starting your car search.
Consider some of these facts and figures about the car buying industry and the impact that it has on the nation’s economy:

  • More than 20 million vehicles on the road in 2021 will be over 25 years old, according to IHS Markit research.
  • Certified pre-owned sales reached a record 2.6 million units in the year 2016.
  • Light trucks sales increased more than 7%. in the year 2016. These sales have increased so much that year that 60.6% of vehicle sales in the U.S. were light trucks. Cars, on the other hand, made up 39.4% of sales.
  • Three is the average number of owners that vehicle will have in its lifetime.
  • As many as 40 million used cars exchange hands each year, between private-party transactions and dealership sales.

When you first start teaching your teenagers how to drive, it can be difficult to imagine the day that they will head down the road themselves. When that day arrives, however, it is important to make sure that you take the time to find just the right cars, whether they are new or used vehicles.
